I am a Hobbit

I am a hobbit.  Ok, not really, but I eat like one.  It's true.  I eat breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, lunch, mid-morning meal, dinner, and supper. Some people don't believe me.  Believe.

I finished breakfast a little while ago.  It was bran flakes with Splenda on top.  Pretty tasty, for cardboard.
As I type this, I am eating second breakfast, and boy is it nutritious!  Chocolate chip cookies with Propel Zero!  Yum.
I'm thinking that I'm going to have an Atkins bar for elevensies, and maybe a peanut butter sandwich for lunch.  My mid-morning meal will probably consist of a big bag of popcorn.  Dinner has been really good lately, as Mom has been firing up the grill.  Maybe we'll have chicken for dinner.  Supper is not decided yet.  I'm thinking cheese, though.
Yes, I eat like a hobbit.  I'm hoping that I will not start to look like one.  Maybe I should stop eating cookies now.

  1. LOL! I eat like a hobbit, too. If there is food around, I eat it. It's an ongoing problem.

What has your mom been grilling? I need ideas.

I know this is not a recipe post, but here is one of my favorite grill recipes. With her homemade cheese, and homegrown tomatoes, it would be deeee-vine!!! She should try it. (Or better yet, you make it and surprise your mom with this one night!)

    Grilled Brushetta Chicken

1/4 cup Sun-dried tomato salad dressing, divided
4 small boneless chicken breast halves
    1 med tomato, finely chopped
    1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil

Marinate chicken in dressing. Put foil on half of grill; preheat grill to medium heat. Grill chicken on uncovered side of grill 6 minutes, meanwhile combine tomatoes, cheese, basil, and 2 teaspoons of dressing.
Turn chicken over; place cooked side up on foil.
Top evenly with tomato mixture. Close lid. Grill additional 8 minutes or until chicken is cooked to 170 degrees.

Tips ... if the chicken breasts are thick, cut them in half; they taste better if you marinate for an hour or so, we put more cheese than it calls for (it tastes better) It always takes longer to cook than it says.... be careful not to overcook them though.

My brother texted me the other day to say that they had made this recipe with pork chops. He said it was fiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeee.
